Through collaborative coaching, business acumen, and expertise in organizational development, Gayle has been helping leaders and organizations bring their aspirations to life for over two decades. Her professional coaching skills, coupled with hands-on executive and board experience create an authentic and safe context in which her clients experience meaningful growth and success. Areas of expertise include coaching; strategic planning; mission, vision and values development; governance and board development; talent strategies; executive compensation; succession planning; and executive search. She understands the complexity and challenges of highly regulated industries including financial services, healthcare, and higher education.
Gayle’s education includes a master’s in management and organizational leadership and a bachelor’s in business management. She has earned NACD’s Directorship Certification, a certificate for Women Board Directors from the University of Washington’s Foster School of Business, a Senior Professional in Human Resources from HRCI, and an Advanced Coaching Certification from Korn Ferry International.
Gayle gives back to the community by serving as a Board of Trustee for Western Oregon University, where she chairs the Finance Committee and serves on the Executive Governance and Trusteeship Committee. She recently completed two, 4-year terms on the Board for Oregon’s Patient Safety Commission where she served as vice-chair. For over a decade Gayle chaired the Health Care Steering Committee for Oregon Business & Industry (State Chamber of Commerce) which positively influenced statewide health policy for patients, providers, and payors. In recognition of Gayle’s accomplishments and service, she received Portland Business Journal’s 2022 Women of Influence Award.
Services
Grounded in adult learning theory, coaching is tailored to the client’s unique needs and goals. The confidential coaching process involves assessment, objective setting, remote or in person coaching sessions, and customized learning assignments between sessions. Areas of focus may include topics such as leadership style and effectiveness, communication, interpersonal/group dynamics, emotional intelligence, career planning, navigating change, and resiliency.
